I recently bought a 1997 Javelin with a 150 Faststrike. It had been sitting up for awhile. The speedo, at first, would stay stuck on 30mph. Now it's stuck on about 25 mph. The fuel guage indicator would also go back and forth from empty to full. Is there something that might clog up the speedo tube, and if so, do you just unhook it from the bottom front of the motor and blow through it? Thanks

Remove the hose from the back of the speedometer. If the needle indicator stays stuck, install a new speedometer.

The fuel gauge sender may be bad or have a loose ground.

I unhooked the tube behind the speedo, blew through it, then put it back on. The speedo reset to 0. Hopefully that will resolve my problem. As for the fuel sending unit, where is it located?

With any luck you should find it in the fuel tank. Actually the sender is in the tank. The Electrical connections are at the top of the tank.
