speed guage please help

i have a 1985 mercury 150 not oil injected to get to the point ive read a couple of post on here about the speed guage not working and i found out about the airhose well come to find out the air hose was severed so i fixed it and i ever blew compressed air thru it to see if it would work (not blocked) and it did so we took it out on the river today and it is still not working any ideas will be greatly appreciated

check your water inport hole on the front portion of the lower unit. Sometimes these get stopped up and cause low or no reading.

so if it is stopped up how will i know and how would i unstop it??
