Speed and RPM Question

Had the boat out yesterday for the first time since I got her. 77 Evvy 85HP on a 16 ft Fiberglass B/R. Was making about 4800-4900 RPM WOT and top speed 37MPH. Is this about what I should expect, I am not complaining. Could I get a little more. I have that 40 MPH in my sights. What should max RPM be on this Motor. Thanks for the help.<br /><br />Mark
