Spectrum Boats?

I'm looking at a 1991 17.5 foot Spectrum Aluminum. Needs motor work but the rest of it looks pretty good.
The company doesn't seem to be around any more. Does anyone have an opinion on them? Quality? Performance? Hull design in rough water? Anything would be appreciated.

they were a Brunswick company (Mercury). decent Aluminum boat, i had a 1702, with a 90 Johnson on it. a bit overpowered. would run close to 50 mph.

I have a 91 spectrum, 1950 model with a 3.0 mercruiser. It works well in lake Erie and other big lakes. Not the best boat but not the worst. I have had no major problems in three years.
