I've been told that I need a champion j6c sparkplug for my johnson engine model # CDL25C and B 7244. Can Any1 tell me if that is right? I can't find a sparkplugg listing anywhere.
Thanks!

That is a 1968 model. J6C is the correct plug gapped at .030...

It depends on your use, jboor.

As Rick says, the J6C is the designated plug and the right one for low speed operation such as trolling.

If you operate the engine at high speed for extended periods you might be better off with the J4C, which is a cooler plug and the one used on the earlier CD models.

The spark plug chart and parts manual for your 1968 Johnson 6HP Model CDL25C can be found at the following sites. Copy the links to your browser without the quotation marks. You can download the parts manuals to Excel if you want.
