I have a 1997 Evinrude 28hp. Manual states plugs should be QL82C. Original plugs were QL77JC4. What is the difference in these plugs, which should I use?

Re: Spark Plugs

Hit your local auto parts store and ask him/her to cross reference your plugs. There are many good spark plugs being made today, the parts dealer will look up the proper plug for your motor. I personally like NGK and Bosch.

Re: Spark Plugs

Both are good plugs. The 77's are a little colder and a good choice. Especially if you are using something other than recommended octane (87). Stick with what OMC designed the motor for (Champion).

Good luck!
