I have a 2007 (manu date) 3.0GLP-J. I was looking at plugs and getting either Champion RS12YC on a .045 gap or Autolite 104 on the same gap. Volvo says use a .045 gap, but i wanted your opinion on the plugs. I'm just using the databases available on the web, but I know someone out there has done this before. Volvo says change them every 50 hours (and I have put 50 hours on the boat since March alone, so it's time. I would just think plugs should last longer, but will change them anyway. Thoughts?

Re: Spark Plugs

What is wrong with the AC type plug that is in it as it came from GM and Volvo?

I wouldn't use Champions at all. I've had too many problems with them in the past.

Re: Spark Plugs

This is a used boat and the plugs were changed and they are Champion. I think I'm going to go with NGK or AC at this point. I went ahead and pulled them so I could cross ref. It's just that I can't find anything to cross the Volvo part number--I guess that is by design. I just wanted to double check and make sure you guys thought the plug type was okay.
