Hi guys I'm taking my boat out tomorrow and would like to complete some basic maitenence on my 1987 25hp Mariner serial# 0B211923. I'm trying to swap out the spark plug wires bc the guy before me said he had to cut the boot off bc they were arching to the plug. Now it's arching to the COWL latch. (go figure) Anyhow, so I have some brand new spark plug wires and it looks like the old ones are fastened really good to the coils.
Question: Are the wires and coils all one peice on this model? Or am I just lacking the elbow grease to pull it out. I don't want to break the wire and then really be out of luck. Do they screw out?
How do I get the wire out of the coil? I've seen pictures of the wires on line but their not big enough to see how the spark plug wire connects to the coil. Is it a screw off?
