I wanted to redo my spark plugs and wire on my plugs, is there a difference between automotive Accel Wire and Marine 2-cycle wire. and can you get more out of a better brand of wire rather than building your own use for high power johnson and evinride engines?

Not sure about that brand specifically, but most automotive wires are of a supressor nature. Outboard wire is stranded copper. Copper will outlast supressor wires by at least 4 times. That and the coils are designed for it.

Also, the high resistance of the fancy automotive wires, can and will "fry" outboard ignition systems, and generally cause all kinds of poor running conditions.

Re: Spark plug wire, does it make a difference?

Upon looking deeper into this matter, I focused my attention on the fact that most of my wiring was metalic like rather than copperish. the spark plug wires on three of four wires were silverish and one was a copperish color, my guess is that one of the wires is newer, since its not as old as the other three. would the conductivity be any better with copper verses metalic stranded wiring on new spark plug wires, just want to have the proper condusive spark with no lag.

If the conductors are solid they are copper...they are plated and look silvery...
