After reading through my owners manual I see that it calls for a different plug than the dealer installed. The guys at the store say it's the same plug, one is just a resistor plug.

Any thoughts on this?

It's going into a 2000 Yamaha 90 2 stoke. The manual calls for NGK B8HS-10. The shop put in NGK BRHS-10.

Thanks,
Bud

I'd go with the resistor plug or you may get interferance in your electrical equiptment on the boat. Graph, radio, ect.

Given your application either plug will work fine. Any power discrepancy would not be noticible, RFI would be unlikely in the other circumstance anyway.
