Hi all!

Well, after starting to change the spark plugs on mee boat,
I noticed that, even cross referencing BRP's part lists and Volvo's
parts list as well (they used that same engine in those years),
I have a long plug, going 17mm into the head.

However, I removed this from the right head of right engine:

Not only did I find 3 models of plugs, they are all 11mm reach.

Can someone help me confirm that my engines take deep plugs?
1994 OMC 5.0Fi Ford block with Mustang intake.
Serial:
T01257455
T01255443

Thank you in advance and regards.

Well, did the pinky test.

Inserted mah pinky and twist in a plug hole and low and behold:
11 threads... So it's a long thread plug engine...

Wow...

I tell you, some service people on boats assume the owner will NEVER double check their work...

RS12YC Champion was the original plug from OMC in a 1994 5L FI motor which are the long ones.

Yep and having long plugs and working thermostats makes for some quite happy engines!
