Spark plug info. needed???

Hi, I can not find the spark plug for my outboard motor?

I have a 1985 Johnson 140 ( J 140 TLCO ) with " V6 gear case "

The manual lists L77J4 (Champion, I think?)

What brand and numbers should I use? Thank-you

Do you still have the timeing decal on the motor? thats where they had the plug type and number.

Manual calls for Champion 1977 thru 1984 140 HP calls for UL77V.

L77J4 has been renamed L77JC4 when it got the copper electrode. QL77JC4 is the same thing with an inductive radio noise suppressor built in. Either one will work just fine.
