Spark plug crossover question

I have a 1994 130hp Yamaha, the plugs that came in it were NGK BR9HS-10, the auto parts store didn't have them and told me Champion QL77JC4 came up as a equal replacement. Is this true? If not what over plug can be used?

A Yamaha Dealer, actually most Boat Dealers, would likely have the NGKs, as well as Amazon
