Spark plug advice please?

My 1989 Merc 80hp 3 cyl came to me from its previous owner with NGK BUZHW-2 plugs fitted. These, I am told, are high resistance plugs. Why would the previous owner wish to use these when the recommended plugs are BUHW-2. (I am assuming this was deliberate rather than a mistake)<br /><br />Anyone got any views ??

The (swedish) NGK page says: <br />80 78-83 U.S.5141097 4-cyl. BUHW 2 <br />Alternative: BUZHW2<br /><br />Nothing more there. <br /><br />/Bear
