85493<br /><br />The previous owner says it's a 1974. I'm hoping to make sure it really is that year using the serial number. 73-77 V4's are similar but just want to double check on actual year. Thanks Hooty.

what I mean is if I assume it's a 74 then the model number is 85493. what if I just went with the serial number, would it be more accurate? there are many sites that say ok, 1974, 85493 is the model number. that number isn't stamped on the ID tag, only the serial number. how would I know for sure it's made in 74? sorry if I don't make any sense.
