First please forgive me for running this post here, I just want to get many takes from skilled folks of all types who may have run into a simalir situation regardless of make. I know none of the history on the motor it was a freebee, P/O stated it runs but there is a hideous noise coming from the mag plate area, i inspected both mag plate and fly wheel all seems fine. but when i turn the motor over by hand i can both feel and hear a scrubbing noise sounds like its coming from inside like main crank bearings or something similar. well please watch the video and see what your conclusion would be. I am thinking the motor was at one time most likely submerged in salt water and sat for a few days before someone flushed it out freed it up and even running but the crank bearings are shot hence the scrubbing & the noise. should I just part it out or? please watch video until the end (run test) you can clearly here what I'm hearing thanks' advise PLEASE!
