Figure I'd post a few pics of some of things I did as part of moving the boat from one lake to another.
Here's the toilet I installed. $5.99 for a toilet seat @ HD; already had the plywood, bucket, & paint and used the plastic bags from the flimsy plastic three legged toilet we had. This works much better being more solid and bolted down, the bucket is also nice to have for a back-up to the plastic bag.
Shot of where I removed the padded seat on top of the live well and replaced with plywood (routed edge, primed & painted) and setup a holder for our cooler and water dispenser.
And finally a hoist for storing a towable when not wanted on the boat.
(Harbor Freight for bike hoist kit and some 1.5" schd 40 PVC - need to upgrade the HF rope that came with the bike lift kit).
Also put square plastic plugs into the end of all the bimini posts, wrapped the 2 ends & center area of the bimini boot with plastic wrap (small hand-help pallet wrap thingy...) and hung a couple muslin bags filled with moth balls inside & under the boat cover - all to 'help' keep the spiders / mud dobbers at bay.
Any other suggestions regarding keeping the critters at bay? Guy I met on the other dock has a wind sock thing flying from his bimini that he says works better than the plastic owl at keeping the birds away.
Best,
Steve
