Just put some pictures in photobucket of our Crownline on the water at Lake Charlervoix last week. These are the first pictures we've taking on the water.

Nice boat! Tell me a bit about it.

Not too much to tell. It's a 2000 Crownline 180BR with a 4.3L motor and Mercruiser outdrive. Runs good. It's very quiet, but will get up to a little over 50 mph when I run it at wot. Cruises nicely at about 30 mph. Oh yeah and it's red.

I haven't been up Charlervoix way in many years... I need to make a trip!

Thanks for posting your pics. My wife and I and the mighty Larson are going there on Tuesday for three days. Have booked a bed and breakfast.

Did you get a chart of the lake? Also did you go out to Little Traverse Bay in Lake Michigan, apparently there are a couple good restaurants you can boat to.

Any info would be appreciated!

As rough as Lake Charlervoix was, we did not venture out onto Lake Michigan. I bought a Garmin Nuvi 550 GPS and then got the software for Northeastern US Lakes. Not sure I would have found my way back as easily without it. Hard to see the opening to the Southern Arm from the main lake, and we were staying fairly far down the Southern Arm.
