I've always thought the in-board ski boats looked cool. Not sure how practical they'd be for me, but they look cool :D

Yeah, I've always loved the look of the inboard ski boats myself. It's not for a large family but perfect for me and a few friends. 351's are great engines too. This one runs great. I just bought it and put it on the water yesterday. The only thing I did was build a rear bench seat and change the oil. The boat cranks, 45-50. Seems to vibrate over 35mph nothing major and I noticed the ride is diffenetly a lot rougher then my old deep v Rinker, but this is typical of this type of ski boat. This is a 22yr old boat so I'm taking it easy, I want to do what I can in preventative maintenance and pray for a good season.

the vibration could be a bad prop. Just a thought

My old boss had a new American Skier in the late eighties and if I recall correctly it was only a 40 MPH boat. They were dedicated ski boats so they sacrficed top speed for torque.

Re: Some pics of my boat

yeah my speedometers are old and one doesn't work. The others I question its accuracy. I would say 40-45 is probably more accurate. I don't need to go any faster than that, I'll just get in trouble..lol..

The prop looks in good shape, is there something I should be looking for that's not so noticable?
