Hi,
Do you know if there is any difference between the SOLAS AMITA 4 blade and the SOLAS HONDA 4 blade alum presented in this site? Honda Marine - Accessories - Propellers

I know that SOLAS makes propellers for HONDA but between the 2 above props for the same diameter and pitch are there any difference on how they are made, other different characteristics or it's is just the label on the box?

Re: SOLAS AMITA vs SOLAS HONDA

Solas uses a state of the art process.I can't speak specifically to the individual props.
My guess is Honda may be cashing in on the excellent Solas reputation By including the name.
Again guessing they are very likely the same but for color and or packaging.
The Solas Rubex and Amita are the same props the Rubex uses a universal removable hub system
I wonder if the Honda might use the Rubex hub?
While this is surely a prop question it is also a Honda specific prop question.
You might ask in the Honda forum, there may be some Honda guys there with more specific info.Tell them I sent you.

Re: SOLAS AMITA vs SOLAS HONDA

There are the same except for the color.

Go to the Solas web site and read about "squeeze casting" aluminum props. The props they make for Honda(and others) are made the same way. :)

The sizes may be expressed differently. For example a Solas 9-9/10 X 13 is shown by Honda as a 9-7/8 X 13. but they are the same prop.

I suspect the Solas/Honda prop costs more.
