Soaking the carbs on a Tohatsu M50D

I have a Tohatsu M50D that aquired some dirty gas this summer. I removed the carbs and cleaned everything with Berryman's B-12 carb cleaner spray and an air compresser. The motor ran fine initially, however the lower carb gasket decided to leak, as it expanded and split upon removal and installation. I'm going to replace all (3) gaskets and am wondering as long as it's removed if I should re-clean the carbs with a total soak in a gallon of Berryman's B-12. I'm concerned about any rubber or plastic parts that may not be visable or removeable. In reading other posts I see where TG recommends soaking the carbs for 3 hours vs. using a spray. I have soaked carbs in other small engines, however not the OB.
Any advise on soaking the carbs?
Thanks

yes, good idea to clean again ..... soak for 3 hrs, then blow out with compressed air and assemble, then you know it is all good .....
