so ,, does it work..?? anyone like it..??

matter-o-fact,, what about all the other ones.. zoom, boom, bang, tang, yum, bum ,big, boom..

whats the scoop..
I knew exactly what he was talking about JB.

GULP is a program for performing a variety of types of simulation on 3D periodic solids, gas phase clusters and isolated defects in a bulk material. In particular GULP is designed to handle both molecular solids and ionic materials through the use of the shell model. One difference between GULP and other similar programs is that symmetry is used for solids to accelerate the calculations and to simplify the input. This can lead to up to an order of magnitude improvement in computational efficiency.

And I'm the blonde?
Or were ya taliking about the new soft plastic baits ? I have used them and not really noticed much difference if any at all. But the 3x baits from strike king are pretty dern sexy I have caught thirty fish on the same zulu jerkbait. And the thing was still in one piece afterwards. extremely durable, and worth the extra 50 cents I'm paying as opposed to my usual zoom products
Crabby, your makin sense to me. However I have no valuable input. I usually don't use plastics but I may start, sounds like they can work on walleye for those short trips that don't justify live bait. Ladyfish, for a shot in the dark some of what you said actually applies to the GULP manufacturing process...Not bad!
GULP the soft plastic from berkley dont you all mean !? Ive used it and seen demos about it. the diff between GULP and regular platics is that it releases sent at a faster rate when in the water. it dissolves faster over time.
yeah,, what she said exactly.. ..lol..

yeah, those 3x baits from strike king are pretty darn sexy.. 'round here we call 'em 'triple x'..i.e.***...

yeah read where berkley spent 20 years devolping these gulp baits..

but still what about the bang, tang, zoom, boom baits..?? .. everone has a gimmick..
i like the 3x worms but they can't be mixed with others, and they'll turn into a glob in the sun. they'll get deformed but will still come off the boat/fibrgls, would make a good fake throwup gag. they can be tied to the dock and run down the lake a 1/2mi and still have the worm head on the line very very elastic. but a pain to run a hook thru. they don't get the use per cost as far as i can tell.

zoom worms just have that certain action, like senko's. they work good as a topwater or jerkbait around here - very popular. i do pretty good with merthiolate(sp?) plus have bubblegum & chartreuse. use a med sz bass hook, throwem out to the bank and letem sit for a few secs then slightly twitch. or put a barrel swvl up @ 2' and it will help it sink a little. really good for clear water reaction strikes. JMHO

i haven't paid the $$$ for senko's but use them when able, by swapping some of my mopheads($12/bag) which both seem to be unusual enough to fake the bass off

(editing)oh yeah, it does seem to help when you get the newer stuff that is salt and/or garlic impregnated. just don't forget and leave them on the hook, like i do - don't fish much saltwater, do y'all have to deal with hooks dissolving all the time?
Yo Crab, I take it you are after bass. The gulp stuff works OK. I use the soft plastics a lot. Zoom, gulp, chompers, gambler, manns,Yum,etc.etc. IMO the senkos are the best soft plastics out there right now.

The thing is presentation. You can put the best soft plastic in the world on the line and never get a hit unless you present it to fish right. It always seems to be a lot of trial and error till you hit on the right pattern. Especialy on bass that have had a lot of pressure.

Make sure you use good hooks, Gamakatsu are a real nice sharp hook.
yo crabbie. i went with my bud the other day, pre-fishing for his tourney... i really studied the senko. it is a little diff, much as i hate to jump for newfangled stuff. it is the only worm i've seen that is plainjane, like a pencil, a stick, a doodle worm- and it sinks, stays flat(horizontal), and wiggles! not flutter, not flap, the dang senko will float downward and wiggle. JMHO

i still aint boughtem, but probably will invest in 1 good color

BTW: i love the tiny trout worms you mentioned, i get good ole creme brand
I just bought a bag of gulp for this weekend, fishing Lake Lewisville. I would not have bought them except Bass Pro shops had some guide from lake Ray Roberts out there giving a demo. And man the fish where fighting to bite that thing. He fished a few other things and did not get the same results. Plus they got this sucker to bite. So I think it worked great

Other than that, my zoom worms are the heat.
I use the Zoom Flukes in Bubble gum and they work great! I also bought some of the 3X fluke style baits but the damn things are so bouyant I just dont get the sink I do with the Zooms But I have to say the zooms get tore up QUICK! I guess I should start using some finishing nails or something in the 3x's to get them to sink right! Has anyone done this
craby This spring I got three bags of Berkley Gulp in different colors and a bag of Yum. The bag said it would out fish life bait so I used it along side life bait it didnt out fish live bait on the lake were Im fishin. Cot a few white bass using it. Im not to impressed. I went back to live bait. Oh yea read hear somebody said use squid for catfish so I stopped at the Korean market and got some squid be darned if it dont work good for cats.
