I have been boating, since I was a kid and owned my boat for 4 years. So I decided to take the course to see how much I know and to be able to opperate a PWC in the state of New York. I learned a couple of things, mostly navigation. While I think most people should take it, I think what prepared me the most for boating is this forum. I learned lots of things here that the class didn't touch on, unless I brought it up. Though I think I am an exception, as I try to go out of my way, when getting into something new to not be "the guy" who annoys everyone with their inexperience. I don't recall in college or school being one of the first done and aced the test, though I did this time. The US Aux CG did a great job with the class and I admire how they go above and beyond, while chargeing so little.
