We had a blizzard up here last week-end...and we have another 12 to 16 weeks before the boat's uncovered for spring rituals...

This is late and the snow in Page has long since melted, but the pics in this link show a different wintery side of Lake Powell. The pics are taken the same day as the original post (12/22).

no, the original was taken with a cool pic 7900. here are a couple that i did. they are taken from the bur trail, the same as the first, but 1 or so miles further away.

the first is with the 70x300 and second the 18x55 need to get a good tri-pod. the second was auto focus and didnt understand how it worked. this was the first day i used the d-60. getting to know it better now

Nice photos, now get yourself some filters for those len's maybe a uv or haze filter you should always have a filter of some sort to protect the lens anyhow. Go to Nikon USA and check it out plus go to the tiffen filter site and it will explain filters to you. Have fun and shoot tons of photos and post them.......

yes. we are working on the lens filters. jill wasnt happy with, the blue tint from the light and snow

she says it looks to cold [go figure. not like its winter of anything]

Jax,
Hello,am new to site but love Lake Powell we are out of Elsinore,Utah I am planning to get down to Bullfrog in February for a maiden voyage with the new searay so i can do a little rat killing befor the season starts up.
I am in the process of a rebuild on one of her engines right now and should be done and have it back in by Jan 25 hopefully.
I will be down there for 2-3 days,do a little fish and get the kinks worked out of the boat and make me a list of fix-its for when i get home.
Maybe see you down there.

should be back at the dock then.
have to doctor in grand junction this fri and then and again the middle of feb. other than that will be taking advantage of the nicer weather down there.
there still knocking down the stripers. not like earlier but the guys that know how to fish them will hit a hot spot

pm closer to when you are coming.

the store is open 7 till 7, 7 days a week. not 100% sure on hours but thats close.
