The post below is the only one I could find about this subject.
I have a new boat with cover and two of the snaps on the fiberglass gunnies have come out... whats the best way to fix these and prevent future ones from pulling out? Fiberglass patch?? wood backing??? What if there is no access to the under side of the snap hole?

2004 Sea Ray 185 Bow rider

http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?
ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=005954#000000

Re: Snap Repair in new boat

I slipped in a screw anchor (the plastic ones for walls) in a hole that was a tiny bit to big to hold the snaps screw tight. No more problems.
