Smokey Mercury

I have a 2001 125hp Mercury. When trolling at idle speed for more than about half an hour it loads up really bad and pumps out a cloud of smoke that like a fog bank. This can't be normal. I plan to take it to the dealer, but would like some ideas about what could be wrong.

It can be normal too...(for a two stroke engine) Iv seen it a hundred times if I have seen it once. You need to "clear" the engine every now and then. Rev. it up a little (about 1500 RPM) for a few seconds and continue trolling. <br /><br />If you take it in..Have them make sure the oil pump is adjusted correctly.
