Call Nauticus and talk with John -- they are very good about getting you the right product and if anything needs changing after installation they help with that as well. Every company should be that helpful. I have them on a 17 ft walleye boat and would not be without them.

If your talking about the gas assisted trim tabs I'd be careful.I know soneone that put them on his boat and they worked great until he tryed to back up.They pulled the stern down if he backed up too fast.

Re: smart tabs

I just put them on my 17 foot aluminum. The #60 actuators were to stiff and the company exchanged them for the #40's. I have only had them out on 1 trip and they seemed to work well. The boat planes out really fast and I didn't notice any thing unusual about backing up. So far I like them

Re: smart tabs

I've had them on my walleye boat for over two years and have never had a problem backing up. If you back up fast enough with any boat, tabs or not you risk taking on water. That's why throttles have a reverse limiter to limit engine speed in when backing. I even back-troll with no problem.
