My boat is a tri hull with a Volvo Penta 280 that has no trim. Adjusted the outdrive for best speed and a slight bow up attitude when on plane but now naturally when getting up on plane it is pretty bow high so im thinking a Hydrofoil will cure that but as i can't adjust trim so it might make the bow to low when on plane?
Smart tabs might work but after looking at how they mount i don't think they will fit.
Here is a pic showing the stern. What do you think Smart tabs mountable on it?
I think Smart tabs would be better as they will not push the bow down once they flatten out at speed
Just not sure so looking for help.IMG_20150602_164303_049.jpg

SmartTabs are fantastic, but I agree you should contact Nauticus.

I had 2 different boats, each had a hydrofoil. One worked great, the other not so. The boat would heel over hard to port and scare the be-jesus out of ya.
bought some smart tabs, and she sstraightened right out.
it was a bit difficult to get the settings right, but once set, she ran good

I have sent a email with pics to Nauticus but i have not gotten a reply.
The worrying party for me is i have no trim. The outdrive is set where it is so im afraid either will push it bow down when on plane and i cant trim it back up.

The foil will make your no trim issue worse.. The tabs on the other hand will work great.

CALL their 800 number.... MUCH faster than waiting in an email.
