Hey guys its me again.I am wandern what is the best way to patch a small hole in my boat.I was thinking about using jb weld.Is this ok to use or is their something else better than that i can use.I appreciate it.
Go to www.westmarine.com and enter model # 87004 in the search box. I'm not sure if this is the same stuff I used; it looks the same though. It's a stick of putty that you Knead and patch your loose rivet or hole. It works very well and dries as hard as a rock then you sand to finish.
Bigfun - Silacone is for caulking windows. Marine Tex is a two part product that when cured is as stong as steel and the best thing you can buy for holes & cracks in most anything - ideal for boats & even cures under water. Keep the silacone for use in the home & away from boats.
guys..this is an aluminum jon boat..and i acccidently drilled into the bottom of the boat the other day..i bought some clay/seament stuff and it dryed fast and it is like steel..it is very strong under the water to..this clay works great.I would mention it to anyone to buy it.
