This is on a 1994 Johnson 150. When shifting into either forward or reverse it takes a second or two for the forward or reverse to "catch". No grinding, just delayed response. Not a problem normally as long as you realize this is going to happen. Last weekend a buddy pulled her in the wet slip, while I was doing other things, and I forgot to tell him about the slow response. Well, he did hit a piling or two, nothing serious but I need to correct the problem if practical. Any suggestions??

Thanks,
Danny K.
