I have a question, I just replaced the gimble bearing in my 140 mercruiser Alpha...I've got the bellows in place and tightened, That was a real challenge for my WIFE ( She had to put up with my *****in' seems only fair )After putting in the bell housing pivot bolts, I noticed there is about a 1/8th gap which makes the housing sorta sloppy...is this a norm? help...

Re: sloppy housing

1/8th gap between what and what? If it is between the gimball ring and the bell housing you should have a fiber washer in there. Are they there?

Re: sloppy housing

The gap is in between the ring and the bell housing, and no there isn't a fiber washer...I would guess that there should be. Thanks
