Slip problems

My mercury out board goes into gear but when I try to get it up on plan something seems to be slipping is it the thrust washer, Clutch, I dont know? I pulled the lower unit shaft but want to make sure I am replacing the right part any help would be appreciated

Ahoy, Duke. <br /><br />Sounds like you have "spun the hub" in your prop or, if it is a real old one, sheared the pin.<br /><br />Any prop shop can re-hub your prop for a LOT less than the price of a replacement.<br /><br />Good Luck.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB
