I know you guys have a big range of what we call slide-on campers for your pick-up trucks, but do you havealloy flat bed utes like our 1 tonners, (8'Lx6'w) and if so, do you have slide-ons made for them.

I have been looking at the prices of some of your slide-ons and have to ask, are they an expensive option or way to go? - because - they seem more expensive that the proper wheeled caravans (do you call them camper trailers??)

If any of you can give me a google search heading for Ca so I can look up manufacturers and dealers and 2nd hand sellers, that would be great.

Campers that slide on the bed, yup (more like jacked and back the truck in than drop the camper down)


Get the belly bar, do not try the pocket mounts (once belly bar is in place "weld" so it does not move when you hit the vibrations/gravel/potholes/washboard.

pop up campers are nice in the bush, but a pain.

We have an old 10x6 fiber glass top
(10x6 is the box only not bed overhang)

I would like to build an old sigs/armour penthouse style tentage on back for hunting trips.

(remember the tent and awning on the back of the sigs trucks/APC queen marrys)

I think I've seen what you are referring to Phil but they aren't they common. Most of the ones I've seen appear to be homemade.
Most folks go for a simple tow behind trailer and 5th wheels in the bigger sizes are pretty popular.
We have an older 8' camper that, similar to what Rob mentioned, sits in the back of the truck (2005 Silverado-Diesel 3/4 ton) and is carried by it. (see attached pic)

The deck is 8'lx6'w

This has a pop top camper.

Do you have these type of slide ons?

I have seen one or two at most Kiwi, but we don't have many flatbed pickups here, just a huge amount of pickups so the slide in campers
