Re: Skip at idle
Boy, it's really hard to say many things could cause this. it could be fuel related, electrical, or mechanical. Hmmm, where to start.
Does it smoke excessively at idle, Does it smoke less, or no noticable difference?
If you don't notice excessive smoke at idle. Run the engine at idle with the cover and air cleaner off. I don't know how experienced you are, so to be safe I'll say fill a spray bottle with mixed fuel, as oposed to straight fuel. spray the fuel into the carburtator, trying to keep the flow consistant. Start out spraying a small consistant amount working your way up to a larger consistant amount, untill you notice a difference in the way the engine runs. If the idle smooths by doing this, this will indicate that your engine is running too lean. If you do this test reply back to me and let me know what happend, and if it is running too lean I'll try to take you too the next step, wheather that is the problem, or somthing else.
