My ski rope was sucked up under my jet boat. Seems to pretty tight. Any ideas on how to get it out?

do jet boats have an intake grate like a jet ski?

you may be able to cut the rope out without removing the grate

or just remove the grate and start cutting.

Be very careful when you cut it out , you do not want to bend or break any parts it is wrapped around , very expensive and hard to find !

For future reference...

DONT CUT!!! Not yet.

First, pull the spark plugs out to relieve cylinder pressure, then try to pull the rope out, maybe grab the drive shaft and/or any balancer-looking item it may have in the opposite direction of drive rotation while applying pull pressure on the rope at all times.

This will free a sucked rope 99% of the time.
