Anyone have an idea on what a full skeg replacement might cost on a mercruiser Bravo outdrive?

In the Southeast, repair $75.00, replace $100.00 to $150.00, that is with you removeing lower unit, draining fluild and take to shop. It will depend on rates where you are. Find a prop shop they can do it.

NW of Chicago here, for a full skeg repair(they had to cut off the whole thing to do it right), was $245 on the boat.

FWIW, when I see one of those SkegGards on a nice boat it screams "M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E" to me. A proper repair is not too much. I guess I'd do one to get me on the water quickly, but I'd do it right later. My .02<br /><br />BTW, that Skeggard link is not allowed as it is both a commerical site AND a competitor . . . <br /><br />Try this: iboats Skeggard

may be cheaper in the long run to replace the lower end of the drive...
