skeg repair

Can the skeg be repaired if a part of it cracked off.<br />It is missing about 1" by 2" piece.

Yes, the skeg can be repaired. The prop shop that I talked to said he would do it for $50. Mine is also bent just a little, if he had to cut it off and redo all of it, then it would cost $100. It can be fixed though.

You can get a Skeggard on eBay for around $100. Takes about 5 minutes to install. It will fix your skeg and protect it from further damage (and looks darn good too!)<br /><br />

Thanks for the info on skeg repair. I think i will install a skeggard. Vatter 41 I do my boating on a private lake in Lake Villa. The chain is to busy, but i boat the chain a couple times a season.

I know what you mean on the busy thing, just the private lakes are kinda small. Next time you decide toi hit the chain let me know and maybe I can meet you there for grins. vatter41 at aol dot com
