Skeeter Windshields; Need Replacements!

I hope that someone out there can help. I have a 1993 Skeeter 200DX with dual consoles. Both windshields are damaged and I need to replace them. I can not find anyone that carries a replacement windshield nor can I find anyone that will make the pair. Does anyone know of anyone that has or will make the windshields? A common question, sorry, no answer for you except keep looking for a shop that will make them.<br /><br />With almost all boats being made with custom made windshields, it sure would be nice if the manufacturers offered replacements. But very few do. <br /><br />I feel for you. I rebuilt my console so that I could use a generic windshield.

This may sound crazy... I just bought an out of production boat that had no windshield. I went to home depot and bought .220 thick plexi.. and a 10 buck heat gun from harbor freight. This stuff cut and bent with no problem whatsoever. I used a little patience of course but it worked. I can give more details if interested? If you have the original windshield to adaapt the shape to, even better!

Lubedude,<br /> I sent an e-mail to them but they have not replied. I am going to give them til tomorrow and then I think that I will give them a call. I did find 2 places that stated that they thought that they could do it. One said around $600 for the pair ($300 for tool setup and $150 each windshield, about half that if I didnt mind the tops to be notched? but no tool set-up fee), and the other did not quote a price however they said the windshields may not look the same as the old ones ( more straight, no curves I think)<br /><br />Thanks again and I will keep posting the more that I find out.<br /><br />Wayne

BlackKnight, I needed one for my 95 Stratos, and I hooked up with a company in Arkansas that fixed me right up. When I get home, I will post the address as they put a small sicker on the windshield. On a side note, I had to send them the old one so they could be sure to send the right one.

Well guys, pending receipt of the new windshields, I have found a godsend in the way of older Skeeter parts. Thanks to skeeterboy who saved me around $400.00!!!
