size of side marker lights?

I need to replace the amber side marker lights on my shorelander trailer. Is there a size requirement? The only ones I can find locally are from an auto store and are smaller than the originals. I don't remember seeing any requred size...is that right?

no size requirement, napa has just about all sizes, wal mart has the rectangle about 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" also

As long as they are there and working. This is one of the few instances when size is not important. !!!!

thanks for the tips. I will check Walmart and napa. I wasn't happy with the ones I purchased at Autozone and will return them.

Great suggestion- Walmart had the closest size so I think I am set. Thanks for the help.
