Hi,

Thanks to the input of the forum. My order for parts at Mike's is almost ready. :)
I checked the 2 jets on my carb and I seem to read "49" (see picture). Or do I read this wrong? No info on the history of this carb.
Does this make sense? I thought it should be closer to 60. But only based on some 'chat'

Engine is a Mercruiser 165HP (I guess from '70-'80), 6cyl in line and a 2G barel 7040110.

I checked the FAQ page for some cross reference what Jets this engine would require but couldn't find.
Does anyone has some knowledge or reference? Would be valuable when I order my new parts to know if I have to get other Jets.... But could be that these work fine.

Thanks

Here’s some info regarding your carb number,

Do you have access to a MerCruiser service manual for your engine model?… if so, then the service manual should offer a jet size chart.

Do you have the engine serial number as that would be another place to look up the jet sizes used back them.

How many different carbs have been put on the engine ? Is the metal tag REALLY the correct one ?
