Single Binnacle Engine Control?

Hi Folks<br />We are mounting a used 150Hp Yamaha, with side mount controls, which are not going to work in this application because of space constraits. I have a Mercury Single Binnacle Control, but have been told that it doesn't work with Yamaha control cables?<br /><br />Any suggestions on a fix? Should I just go out and buy the Yamaha Single Binnacle Control?, which looks like a nice piece of gear, however a tad expensive. Any after market suggestions?<br /><br />Thank you.

buy the new one but you might be able to find a set that fits different motors and uses kits for different control cables these are normally cheaper but IF you got the money do it right with the same brand controls
