I keep my boat on the water. I want to clean it with simple green. I am wondering if this is safe for the environment to dispose of in the saltwater sound I live on.

According to the label, simple green is biodegradable but goes on to advise that it should not be disposed of in lakes, streams, etc. I believe what it is talking about is to not dispose of the simple green with the grime/grease etc. that is a result of the cleaning. But if the grime and grease is VERY minimal, is it safe? Will the simple green itself hurt the environment?

A "saltwater sound" would seem large and tidal enough that you should not have any worries.

I believe that Simple Green is about as "green" a cleanser as you can buy.

If your concerns are that great ,then you should use the stuff made of orange peels.Charlie
