Hi,I have a 1989 larson senza 22v,with a 460 ford & king cobra outdrive. The boat has transom cutouts below the swim platform, but the boat is now exausting through the prop.I believe this boat had at one time a silent choice system,or possibly was through the transom only.I would really like to install a silent choice type system.DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW OF A USED SYSTEM FOR SALE,OR WHERE TO BUY A NEW SYSTEM REASONABLE?I have seen systems on ebay, but they all seem to be off chevy motors with mercruiser outdrives,Could these be modified to fitmy application?Thank's Fraser

We have a switchable system on a 26' Crownline with a 454 MerCruiser.

I really don't think it matters what brand engine you have. I think the only thing that matters is the diameter of the exhaust tubes.

Re: silent choice exaust or other options

That's what I thought, but It seems that any classified ad's I've come across, alway's mention the engine & outdrive make,so It makes me wonder. Was your system on the boat when you bought it?My boat is in storage now,I can't remember if It's 3" or 4" dia.I'll have to check!!!.I guess a better question would be:Does anyone have an exaust type schematic for installing a silent choice system,& also are they all the same?Thank's

Any particular reason you want to do this? It doesn't increase power by any appreciable amount unless you have increased valve size, ported intake/exhaust ports on heads, inceased fuel supply, and installed higher output ignition, so I can assume you just want to listen to loud exhaust.

I see very few boats in my area with that type of exhaust, they are largely frowned upon, and unless you have spent a day riding in a boat with loud droning exhaust, it is hard to appreciate how much a person grows to dislike that sound. You may find that you'll spend the majority of your boating running in silenced mode, so you might want to consider that before dropping the coin...
