The President still has some legislative initiatives he wants to get done, such as taxes & social security. He'll need congressional support. Having a republican majority in both houses gives him a bit of slack. Some of them may need his coattails to get reelected in '06, others in '08. And most will want to distance themselves from an unpopular president. One thing he can count on is the fickle American public.

The republicans still havent learned how to heard the "sheeple".<br /><br />And FWIW, all congress is interested in passing is worthless bills like "national wear your hat day".<br /><br />They all should be ashamed of themselves along with the media.<br /><br />Ken
