If I have no signature line in this post, I am totally flumoxed. I would have tried everything, multiple times, to instate a new Sig, including selecting to add it to my old posts.

Re: Signature Test!

I guess it must have worked but I still don't think it applied the sig to my old posts. last I looked, they were still blank.

Oops! What I have discovered is that there is a little box below the reply box. It shows 'signature' in it. It is apparently making me declare 'default' every time I post or it does not place my sig.

What gives? How do I change it so 'default' automatically shows up? I have tried everthing in the edit sig section.

did you check the box update old post ?

Yes, I did that. I also just went back and 'saved' default sig which was not declared. I had done this several times before. If my sig shows up on this post, at least that part worked. I still don't think that old posts are updated. I've gone thru this all at least a dozen time. Grrrrrrrrr!

Re: Signature Test!

There is one function in edit that says ADD SIG TO POSTS. Then there is a box showing 'default' then a box declaring 'all forums'

When I hit the 'add' button, it comes up with "no templates found'

There is also a check box at the bottom, where it shows your existing sig, to check if you want to 'update old posts' . I have checked that numerous times and hit save. The sig still does not show up as evidenced by my blank post above.

Also, while we are on the subject of Sigs, how can I change the text color? I'm sure I have seen others that were colored, unless they were just copying a pasting their sig each time.

Boomie it probably is a fruitless mission............ When we finally go back to the old software, we will have to redo everything again anyways....8)

Re: Signature Test!

All I know is that I have deleted a couple of sigs and they keep showing up. I have also edited existing ones, and they show up sometimes with the edit and sometimes without. I am talking over three months since I edited . . .

BTW, the stupid software uses as our friends in the UK, Oz and South Africa and, well I guess I don't know what colour Canada is . . . Maybe both work?

blue blue

Edit: yep, both work. Maybe that's not so stupid. So it got one right :} :=
