Our boating is over for the season and Gas has dropped to $2.84 a gallon locally. Sure wish it had been that cheap this summer when I was filling the boats!

Personally, I wish it was higher.
Dropping gas/oil prices do not speak well of the global economy as a whole.

Don't worry Roscoe $3.48 - $3.64 is the high/low here so we are not harming the economy here

$2.84??? It's still $3.35 around Boston @discount stations. If it drops to $3 I'm pulling the tarp back off the boat and make trips to the gas station to fill my 300 gallon tank. Right now about half full so for 150 gallons and save a buck a gallon I'll go for it.

I was thinking of filling mine in the dead of winter (February?) assuming that the prices continue to drop. . . as it will still be OK come spring time (May)

Re: Sigh... NOW the gas prices drop.

Your surprised...the world is awash in oil resever's....And is collasping due to high energy cost's. Have some fun google States loss of gasoline taxes...Due to increased fuel effeiceny and cost....Have you noitced how the global warming is again coming to the forefront..low oil pricing...global warming. Soon it it will be Iran and Hormuez

Each and everyday transparency is slow peaking thourgh....Hmm those nasty oil sands and high sulfur content...Looky here..WTI discount to Brent and premium to Bakken both rising in early 2012 - Today in Energy - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA)

Brent vs. WTI
Profit from Peak Oil

And then there is this..Green River Formation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Green River Formation contains the largest oil shale deposits in the world. The 213 billion tons of oil shale contain an estimated 3 trillion US barrels of shale oil, up to half of which is estimated as recoverable or about equal to all the entire world's proven reserves.[11] [12]

Do some math....That formation has a 400 yr supply of oil based on 2007 oil comsumption rates..

I have to quit now or i will get into trouble again we are awash in oil...think not both Iraq and Liyba are off line and at the same time America is doing something quite pecular....U.S. exported more gasoline than imported last year

For the first time since 1949, the United States exported more gasoline, heating oil and diesel fuel last year than it imported, the Energy Department reported today.

Sir Its all about scare tatiic's, We all want to think we are so informed so articulate they play on our ego's.Yet in truth we are a trusting bunch. The world is awash in oil make no mistake.....and at the same time there are hundred's of agenda's out there. But have faith it's about to come crashing down around...and a alot of high roller's will get burned.

Same here. That's because oil went up over $2 a barrel yesterday, and is up $4 a barrel since the beginning of last week. everyone's prices will go up today or tomorrow.

Re: Sigh... NOW the gas prices drop.

Isn't it totally amazine that we think when gas drops below $3 dollars a gallon that we are some how getting a great deal. When in reality gas should cost around a dollar a gallon period! Do the math! That IS how governments condition us to think. Raise gas to near $5 dollars a gallon and push for higher fuel rates to the auto industry and then when it drops to an amount still too high we all think our government is handling things properly. It is all a big game and lie. We will never see gas at the correct market price ever again. Those days are over! We have all the oil this country would ever need right here in America, but that would certainly cripple other countries' economies and therefore will NOT be allowed to be removed from the ground for our needs by our present government.

All I know is, it beats $4/gal. Take what we can get, when we can get it........I'm still waiting to go below $3.......

It actually dipped below $3 dollars a gallon for about a day around here and now is back up over $3.20 a gallon. It is funny how if crude oil drops in price it takes weeks to show up at the pumps but let it go up per barrel and over night they raise the prices...SMH
