Shuddering and alarm at 40 MPH on 150 TLRS??

My 1994 Ymaha 150 TLRS started shuddering after I heard the warning buzzer at 40MPH.
I have a new water pump and water was peeing out just fine I thought.
We had cleaned out the old gas and added the ethanol treatment as perscribed before I took it out.
Is this a oil pump or oil pressure issue?
Thoughts?

Did your tach or other gauges show what alarm was going off?

Surely there was some kind of indication that showed up.
Low oil pressure is only on 4 strokes and you did not indicate it was a F 150

Did not Notice Anything On gauges

Did not Notice Anything On gauges

My yamaha Pro V 150 is a 2 stroke.
I wasn't paying any attention to the gauges when it happended.
I'm wondering if oil sludge or whatever you call it, may be the problem. The boat sat outside all winter for the first time.

level is the only oil alarm and then there is overheat.
Seems like you need to be paying attention when things happen and the look to see what is going on

Not sure about your motor but my C40 just retards the timing when in alarm mode to reduce the RPMs and I do not think that would cause shuddering

Check your oil level and level sensor. If it senses that you are low on oil, it starts to de-power your engine which could cause the shutter you felt.
