I did a search ??..:)..... We?re planning to have our pontoon shrink wrapped, and stored in the snowy (Minnesota) woods. (1) Is mold a problem? (2) Should we cut holes fore and aft for circulation (we don?t mind if a little snow and rain enters). (3) Can covers be used add?l years if removed carefully? ??.. Thanks,

Bill

Re: Shrink Wrap Questions

I had a mold issue under my cover when my boat was stored in the woods for a couple weeks this summer. So I would think it's definitely a possibility in shrink wrap. Vent it as well as possible.

Re: Shrink Wrap Questions

When you have them shrink wrapped, there is a bucket of what ever that stuff is call that sucks up moisture out of the air, that needs to go under that plactic to keep theings dry in there. Other wise you just created a rain forrest in your boat.
