Shouldn't a Prop from a 10 hp 56 model fit a 62 10 hp?????

The 56 10hp prop is to tall. I have a prop from a 7.5 56 model. Would that one fit. Any suggestions as where to find a reasonable priced 62 10 hp prop? Thanks, Mettyfish

Propellers from the following will fit the 1962 10HP:

1964-1973 9.5HP
1958-1963 10HP
1966-1979 6HP

While these will fit the pitch and diameter on the "standard" prop may be different.

As my father has always said. "Poor People have Poor Ways". Thanks for the help but anyone know where to find a cheap prop that will work? I don't want to invest much because I don't know if this motor is a runner because I can't lake test it. Thanks, Mettyfish

Check ebay just be sure of the seller.Many listings tell what they fit.
Also use the webvertize at www.aomci.org You don't need to be a member.
