When you start on outboard, does the prop turn even when the auto transmission is in neutral?

Thanks
Cville Newbie

No, not unless it is a direct drive but then you wouldn't have a shift selector. Sometimes if the water is exhaust thru the prop it may move the prop but there should be no drive associated with it.
Mike

You did not say what engine you have...But if its a push button type..Its normal for it to turn till hydrolic pressure builds up and then the prop should stop.

Some drives will turn just a little...It depends on what you have?
